DRINK driver Matthew Rose was "showing off" in his car before he smashed into a motorcyclist at nearly 70mph, a court has heard.
The 24-year-old, from Drift Way, in Cirencester, was jailed for a year after the crash left 19-year-old Dylan Jones with "life-changing" injuries.
Prosecutor Julian Kesner told Gloucester Crown Court Rose lost control of his Mitsubishi FTO while trying to negotiate a bend in Hambridge Lane, Lechlade on August 6 last year.
He collided with Mr Jones from Lechlade at 68mph, sending him flying off his motorbike and landing on the car's back spoiler.
