COULD motormouth DJ and entertainer Chris Evans finally bitten off more than he can chew?
The BBC Radio 2 breakfast show presenter's Carfest event this weekend will feature a stand for Newent Onion Fayre - and organisers of the town's quirky bash are hoping to tempt him to get his teeth into one of their 'treats'.
Carfest takes place in Hampshire across the bank holiday weekend and the Onion Fayre organisers were asked to take part.
Peter Pain, chairman of Newent Onion Fayre, said: "We feel very privileged to be invited to Carfest.
"It just shows how the fayre is gaining status and the fact that they approached us and are keen for us to be there is fantastic. This festival is doing just what the Onion Fayre is all about – it's putting Newent on the map."
Radio 2 will be there all weekend, so listen out for any Newent name dropping.
The fayre's committee is currently in talks with the radio station to be live on the station on Saturday with new mascot OnionEd.
The Onion Fayre returns to Newent on September 14, taking over the town centre.
