Investment buyers in Gloucestershire are invited to attend a property school in the county next week.
The free property school, run by property investment company Midas Estates, will be held in Cheltenham.
The event will include a presentation by England Rugby World Cup winner Mark Regan MBE, who is a co-director at the firm.
Also speaking at the session, which takes place on Tuesday, September 24, alongside the former rugby star, are directors Ian Clark and Robin Campbell.
Ian, who set up Midas Estates, said: "Investment in property is steadily becoming more popular with many taking advantage of current low interest rates for mortgages.
"However, there are many pitfalls to property investment and if not organised properly it can become a stressful and expensive experience."
Malcolm Wilson is an engineering and management consultant in the rail sector who used Midas Estates to expand his property portfolio which includes homes in the South West.
The 47-year-old, who went into property investment by accident, now has a portfolio of eight properties.
After moving jobs a couple of times and having let out his previous house behind him, Malcolm had accumulated a couple of rental properties by 1999.
Realising that property could provide the income and financial freedom he desperately wanted, he and his wife Suzy had assembled a portfolio of five properties by 2005.
However, the portfolio was not yet large enough to provide a retirement income and the repayment type bank loan already required extra cash every month. Malcolm said adding more properties would have simply meant more stress on the couple's finances and he felt like he was on a "hamster wheel".
He added his confidence in his investment portfolio improved when he was introduced to Midas Estates and Malcolm and Suzy later grew their portfolio further.
Core subjects covered at next week's property school include how to find the perfect location, how to negotiate the maximum discount, how to structure your finance, how to find the best tenants and manage your properties, how to minimise risk and how to exit with your goals achieved.
The session will take place at the Cheltenham Regency Hotel on Gloucester Road and begins at 6.30pm.
