Bemused onlookers hoping to catch a glimpse of the Severn Bore at the weekend got more than they bargained for when they saw a man and woman's swimming costumes floating in a flooded field.
It is unclear whether a couple had been skinny dipping in the flood waters at Maisemore or not, but it certainly got tongues wagging.

Chepstow coastguards, who operate a rescue team as far as the Maisemore Weir, tweeted about the incident. They said: "One of the stranger moments from today's Severn Bore: Report of a male in a female swimming costume swimming in a flooded field Maisemore."Newnham on the Severn this morning.
