CONEY Hill will be fighting for every point to keep their slim South West One West hopes alive, starting with Cullompton at home on Saturday (2.30pm). The Metz Way outfit are second from bottom in the league after just one win this season and are rooted firmly in the drop zone. Coach Leon Liggett said that until it is mathematically impossible for them to stay in the league, the side will keep fighting. Liggett said: "We are looking for a home win. "Picking up points on the road is one thing but you have to make sure you win at home, and we haven't been doing that. We have come close a few times but now it is vital. "The lads are up for it and we have a few players coming back from injury who have made themselves available once again." Second row Alex Walters is fit again after a 16-week lay-off with a shoulder injury and work commitments while wing Alan Weller has also made a welcome return to the side after an ankle injury. Despite a 26-10 defeat at the hands of Camborne last week, Liggett believed his side put in an encouraging performance. He said: "Despite changes to the front row we played really well. We showed the fighting spirit we need."
