COCKNEY comic Jim Davidson is as dangerous and uncompromising as ever – and is about to hit Stroud.

Controversial Jim hit the big time after winning ITV's New Faces talent show in the 1970s and became notorious for his bawdy and close-to-the-knuckle humour.

Over the years, he has has won three Showbusiness Personality Of The Year awards and starred on prime time TV shows including The Generation Game, Hell's Kitchen and Big Break.

He brings his evening of stand-up comedy to the Subscription Rooms in Stroud on Thursday.

This strictly adults-only show, starting at 7.30pm, is part of a limited tour. Tickets are £20 on 01453 760900.
