A GROUP of talented youngsters are celebrating after coming second in a national award.
Dancers from Step N Style Pulse represented the South West at the International Dance Teachers Association National Street Dance finals in Stoke-on-Trent earlier this month.
The group, which has more than 200 dancers, came second in the competition, although they won many trophies for individual categories.
Founder of the group Nicky Bishop said: "All the dancers danced fantastically and I am delighted to announce that Candy, our under-9s team and three other groups received trophies.
"This really is an amazing achievement and they had to qualify in our area to represent the South West and to come away with any trophy at the nationals is extremely difficult to do, let alone to come first in a category.
"They did really well, considering how high the standards of the competition are. We have been running for 22 years now and we have 200 dancers coming to classes each week."
Nicky has recently started a catwalk modelling class, which has gone from strength to strength.
She said: "It started about six weeks ago and we already have roughly 18 people coming to it.
"The classes are about giving people confidence in themselves and to feel good. Many have really grown in confidence and they are now strutting their stuff down the catwalk.
"We have a group called Boogie Babies which is for young children from birth.
"Parents can bring their newborns and they can hear some music and do soft movements with them."
