DESPITE the rain and chilly weather staff at Millbrook Lodge in Brockworth took on a three-mile walk for their residents. The walk started at the lodge in Moorfield Road and they strolled around Brockworth. All money raised will go towards purchasing a new minibus for its residents. Miss Gloucester Juliette Crosby and Miss Cheltenham Sophie Lydia-Smith supported the walk. Charlotte Parry, who works at the lodge, said: "It went well but it was raining the whole time. We are trying to raise enough funds to replace the bus because it is getting quite old, we need to raise £7,000, we already have £1,500." Jayne Mann, fundraiser co-ordinator at the lodge, said: "We did get absolutely soaked but we still did it. We have raised roughly £320 which will go towards the bus, which is used for day trips to gardens and wildlife centres." To donate call 01452 863 783.
