Finalists of Mr and Miss Gloucester 2013 revealed

The finalists for the Miss and Mr Gloucester 2013 have been chosen and are now preparing to go head to head and compete for the a place in the final of Miss and Mr England in June next year. After being inundated with entries for this year's competition, just eight boys and eight girls have been selected to compete in the final taking place at The Registry on Thursday, October 11. Angie Beasley, Director of Miss England said, "The standard of girls and boys in this years competition has been exceptionally high and selecting the finalists was a very tough job. I think the final next week is going to be extremely difficult to judge." "Not only is the experience guaranteed to be enjoyable for everyone involved but it will also help the participants increase their self-confidence and could open them up to a whole host of new and exciting opportunities." The final of Miss/Mr Gloucester will be held at the Registry on Thursday, October 11, where the Miss Gloucester finalists will be required to take part in two rounds - a little black dress and an evening wear round. The winner of Miss Gloucester will receive a place in the Miss England semi-final as well as £100 voucher to spend at Gloucester Quays and the chance to face one of their campaigns and a photo shoot with the Fresh Academy, including prints. The winner of Mr Gloucester will receive an automatic entry into the final of Mr England on 15 June next year. The current Miss England is Charlotte Holmes, 23, from Plymouth, who represented England at Miss World in China last month and placed in the top 15. She will be judging at the final of Miss/Mr Gloucester next week. The ultimate winner of Miss England 2013 will follow in the footsteps of Charlotte and spend her year raising awareness for various charities as well as receiving a whole host of prizes worth £30,000, including a luxury holiday to Mauritius and a place in Miss World 2013.
