Thousands head to Gloucestershire Motor Show in Highnam

THE sun was shinning off hundreds of vintage cars at Highnam Court this weekend.. More than 4,000 visitors flocked to the Gloucestershire Motor show where star attractions included a Ferrari 458 and a Porsche 911 Cabriolet. There was also 120 classic cars including Rolls Royces and Bugattis. Visitor Elizabeth Gartside from Cheltenham said: "It was brilliant. We came as a family and it was nice for the children to have something to do. Highnam Court was an amazing setting for it." Rob Davies from Tewkesbury Rotary Club said: "We had a great time." Other activities included a cookery demonstration by former Gloucester Rugby and England star Phil Vickery, a children's marquee, fashion show featuring Strictly Come Dancing star and former James Bond girl Fiona Fullerton. The event was held in aid of the Pied Piper Appeal, which helps sick children across Gloucestershire. Chair Nick Broady said: "Money will go towards buying new equipment for Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and maintaining the wards there. We also help schools including the Milestone and Heart of the Forest school."
