A man was talked down from the top of the car park at Merrywalks Shopping Centre, in Stroud, this afternoon, after threatening to jump.
Police and a paramedic were called to the scene shortly after 1.30pm.
Some two hours later the scene was cleared after police officers successfully encouraging the man to come down from the building safely.
The man was seen sitting on the ledge of the top car park on the wall above Rowcroft Retreat. The road below was cordoned off.
Police escorted the unharmed man away to receive help.
