Brave Lee Fancourt has finished his 18,000 mile bike ride around the world, and is now on a mission to become the greatest endurance cyclist in history.
Lee, from Quedgeley, set off in March in a bid to become the fastest man to cycle around the globe.
He has averaged more than 225 miles a day and has cycled through France, Italy, Russia, Thailand, India, Australia and the USA.
The epic cycle run came to an end in Greenwich last Friday following a brief visit to friends and family in Gloucester last week.
Lee completed the 18,000 mile ride in just 104 days, beating the Guiness World Record for riding the circumference of the world by 21 days.
Last month Lee was told his effort would not count as an official record when he was disqualified from the official World Cycle Race.
He had taken a taxi to go back and help his support drivers when they ran into trouble in India.
But Lee still pushed on to achieve his dream.
He said: "Getting disqualified was a real heartbreaker, especially as the guy who was second in the race is still in India.
"But I just refused to give up.
"It was such a relief when I crossed the finish line that I had finished the run."
After a well earned break Lee will attempt to break the record for the cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats, compete in a race from London to Istanbul and other courses in the USA this year.
He is also trying to land an eight-part documentary on Sky TV for when he attempts to set the same world record again next year.
Lee said: "I've set the platform now and I want to become the greatest endurance cyclist in history.
"I want to win every long distance race on planet earth.
"My favourite country to cycle through was Thailand, as I love the culture and the people, and the roads were brilliant.
"The most challenging country was India, because there were no rules on the roads.
There were also vehicles coming straight towards you."
