A 27-YEAR-OLD Gloucester man accused of firebombing a sleeping woman's home with petrol bombs will stand trial in October, a judge ruled today. Jason Stevens, who is in custody, is charged with arson with intent to endanger life at a house in Ashgrove Avenue, Coney Hill on May 18 Prosecuting barrister Janine Wood told Gloucester crown court today "The Crown is anticipating a not guilty plea in this case and a three-day trial is likely." Several petrol bombs were said to have been thrown at the property while the occupant slept with her two dogs. Graffiti was also said to have been sprayed over the back of the house. There were no injuries but two fire crews were called to the scene. His Honour Judge Jamie Tabor QC adjourned the case until September 12 for a plea and case management hearing and scheduled a trial for October 29. Meanwhile Stevens was remanded in custody.
