HIGH-SPEED broadband is now available to another 7,000 home after an upgrade to fibre broadband by BT.
Households and firms using the Barnwood exchange can now access quicker broadband.
Areas such as Barnwood, Abbeydale and Abbeymead are some of the areas that will benefit from the improvements.
Dursley and Brimscombe are also due to be upgraded this year.
The work comes after a contract between Gloucestershire and Herefordshire county councils with BT to get 90% of homes and businesses in the two counties onto fibre broadband by the end of 2016.
